Also known as Sesame Oil, Tilli ka tel, Til Oil. In Hindu puja is has a special role, all the grahas, pitras and devatas become pleased when a person offers sesame oil to them. It can be used while giving holy bath to deity, by donating sesame seeds/ oil in temple and by using it in havan. Lighting lamps of sesame oil reduces the malefic effects of planets and bestows the blessings of favorable planets.
